Healthy Chicken Fried Steak??? Yep here it is. I used a coconut flour / coconut flakes batter and fried it in coconut oil. It is super easy, and hardly takes any time at all. Just make sure to not let it burn or the coconut will dry out the steak. This is a perfect healthy and paleo alternative to traditional chicken fried steak.
2 cube steaks
coconut flour mixed with paprika, red pepper flakes, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
coconut flakes, crushed (or broken into very small pieces)
3 eggs, beaten
Directions: Drench your cube steak in the eggs, then in the coconut flour mixture, then back into the eggs and lastly into the coconut flakes. Make sure your skillet is very hot with coconut oil. Add in the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes each side. So easy and a wonderful sweet flavor. I paired it with Avocado Kale Salad. The cold salad is awesome with the hot chicken fried steak.
