Prosciutto Wrapped Dates

This appetizer is perfect for a large or small get together.  A couple per person is all you need and the sweetness of the dates, mixed with the cheese and prosciutto is fabulous.  Quick and easy appetizer for you to make any day of the week.


12 medjool dates

3 slices of prosciutto

cheese of your choice (I used spicy cheddar in this recipe, but I also love it with mild goat cheese too)

olive oil cooking spray

dash of balsamic vinegar


Directions: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.  Take the seeds out of the dates, carefully.  Place the cheese where the seeds used to be and wrap the dates back around.  Cut one slice of prosciutto into 4 pieces and use one piece to wrap each date.  Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees F, or until cheese is oozing out with yumminess.   Let rest for 2-3 minutes, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and serve.
