If you love kale chips like me, but hate to pay $7.00 for a small bag – this is the perfect recipe for you. These kale chips are amazing! They taste just like the “Mango Habanero” flavor from Rhythm Superfoods. A little spicy cheese flavor. The only bad thing is they don’t seem to last long for me because I want to eat them all in one sitting!
1 1/3 cup of ground sunflower seeds (just put into the blender until you have the consistency of flour)
3 tablespoons of lime juice
4 tablespoons of Sriracha
a dash of sea salt
1 large bushel of kale
Directions: Rinse and dry your kale. The drier it is the better it will crisp up with it bakes. Add all of your ingredients (minus the kale) into the blender and mix until it is a thick paste-like texture. Spray your baking sheet with olive oil cooking spray. Take your sirachi paste out of the blender and into a large bowl. Add your kale to the bowl and mix well with your fingers. Making sure to spread as much paste as you can onto each piece. Place your kale, spread out as much as possible, on the baking sheet and spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray. Bake at 200 degrees F for about an hour to hour and a half, or until lightly browned and crisp.
